Product Information

CW352H, also known as CuNi10Fe1Mn, CuNi10Fe1.6Mn or C70600, is a copper-nickel alloy containing approximately 88% copper, 10% nickel, 1.5% iron, and 0.8% manganese. This alloy is widely recognized for its excellent corrosion resistance, particularly in seawater and brackish water environments, and its high resistance to biofouling and hydrogen embrittlement. It is commonly used in marine engineering, heat exchangers, and hygienic environments such as hospitals and clean rooms.

Key Characteristics

  • Outstanding Corrosion Resistance: Performs exceptionally well in seawater, even at high flow velocities.
  • Resistance to Biofouling: Ideal for marine and offshore applications.
  • High Toughness and Ductility: Maintains strength and flexibility under harsh conditions.
  • Excellent Resistance to Hydrogen Embrittlement: Suitable for high-pressure systems.
  • Antimicrobial Properties: Makes it suitable for hygienic environments.

Applications

  • Marine Industry: Seawater piping, condensers, and desalination plants.
  • Heat Exchangers: Boilers and evaporators for power plants and chemical processing.
  • Pump and Valve Components: In corrosive environments.
  • Hygienic Systems: Hospitals, clean rooms, potable water systems, desalination plants.
  • Offshore Oil & Gas: Tubing and fittings exposed to seawater.
  • Other: Cladding, flanges, fire extinguishing systems.

CW352H is listed in the European Positive List under Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2024/367, ensuring compliance with Directive (EU) 2020/2184 for materials in contact with drinking water. This guarantees its suitability for hygienic and safe use in potable water systems.
