Product Information
CW024A, also known as Cu-DHP (Deoxidized High Phosphorus Copper) and formerly SF-Cu, is a high-purity oxygen-free copper alloy with a minimum copper content of 99.85–99.90% and a small amount of phosphorus (0.015–0.040%), thanks to which it acquires excellent welding and soldering properties and higher corrosion resistance as well. Compared to Cu-ETP, Cu-DHP has a lower electrical conductivity.
Key Characteristics
- Excellent Weldability and Solderability: Ideal for brazing, soldering, and gas-shielded arc welding.
- High Corrosion Resistance: Suitable for aggressive water environments and chemical exposure.
- Resistance to Hydrogen Embrittlement: Ensures durability during thermal processes.
- Outstanding Formability: Excellent for both hot and cold forming.
- Non-Magnetic and Spark Resistant: Safe for sensitive environments
Applications
- Potable Water Systems: Pipes, fittings, and components in compliance with EU drinking water regulations.
- Heating and Cooling Systems: Heat exchangers, radiators, and HVAC components.
- Chemical Apparatus Engineering: Tanks, pipes, and fittings exposed to corrosive substances.
- Architectural and Decorative Uses: Roofing sheets, gutters, and façade cladding.
- Industrial and Marine Applications: Storage tanks, refrigeration systems, and general engineering.
Cu-DHP is listed in the European Positive List under Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2024/367, ensuring compliance with Directive (EU) 2020/2184 for materials in contact with drinking water. This guarantees its suitability for hygienic and safe use in potable water systems.
