Aluminum Bronze – Materials and norms

Aluminum Bronze

The addition of aluminum increases strength and hardness of bronze. Aluminum bronze also excels in resistance to temperature changes and corrosion, even in saline water. It has good weldability, high tensile strength, yield strength and malleability. It is used in production of worms and worm gears, gears, bearings, bushings or valve components. The most common aluminum bronze alloys have about 10% of aluminum.

We supply bronze in the form of bars (round, flat, square, hexagonal, hollow), tubes, or sheets.

Below you will find a selection of the most common material grades we work with. If you are interested in another grade or alloy, do not hesitate to contact us.
